Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and L'Amore Vince ("L'Amore Vince," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). L'Amore Vince is in the process of incorporating in the State of Delaware, United States; references to "the Company" mean L'Amore Vince and its successor Delaware entity upon incorporation.

Please read these Terms carefully. Section 17 contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class action waiver that affect how disputes between you and the Company are resolved.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. This is a strict requirement with no exceptions. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and are not barred from using the Services under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction.
  • You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

We may require age verification at any time and may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a person under 18. If you become aware of a user under 18, report it to support@lamorevince.com.

2. Account Registration and Security

To use most features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it updated.
  • Maintain one account per person. Creating or operating multiple accounts, or creating an account on behalf of another person without authorization, is prohibited.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share access to your account.
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
  • Notify us promptly at support@lamorevince.com of any unauthorized use or security breach.

We may refuse registration, reclaim usernames, or suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.

3. The Platform

L'Amore Vince is a real-time connection platform that facilitates conversations through escalating rounds:

  • Round 1 — Text: an opening text conversation, always free.
  • Round 2 — Audio: a live voice conversation.
  • Round 3 — Video: a live video conversation.
  • Round 4 — Contact exchange: the optional exchange of contact information.

Advancement from one round to the next requires the mutual consent of both participants. Either participant may decline to advance or may end a connection at any time. Advancement beyond Round 1 requires credits, as described below. The Services also include ice breaker games, scheduled events, group experiences, daily identity check-ins, and optional livestreaming.

We do not guarantee that you will receive any particular number of matches, connections, or outcomes. The Services facilitate introductions; the conduct, identity, and intentions of other users are not within our control.

4. Credits and Virtual Currency

Credits are a virtual currency used solely within the Services. Credits:

  • Have no cash or monetary value, are not legal tender, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.
  • May be earned through verified actions (such as phone verification, sharing your location, and linking social accounts) or purchased when paid purchasing becomes available.
  • Are spent to advance rounds, extend session time, obtain a private forwarding number, reopen expired connections, and unlock premium games.
  • Expire three (3) months after the date they are earned or purchased. When you spend credits, the oldest credits are spent first (first-in, first-out). We send a reminder before credits expire.
  • Are non-transferable between users or accounts.

We may modify credit earn rates, costs, and values with at least fourteen (14) days' notice for material changes. On termination of your account for any reason, unspent credits are forfeited and are not redeemable for cash. The Credits and Refund Policy provides additional detail and is incorporated by reference.

5. Purchases and Payments

Paid credit purchasing is being rolled out. Where purchasing is described in the Services as a scaffold or "coming soon," that feature is not yet active, and no charge will be made until purchasing is live and you complete a purchase.

When purchasing is available:

  • You authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes.
  • All sales are final except as expressly provided in our Credits and Refund Policy or as required by applicable law.
  • Refunds are limited to technical errors and may be requested within seven (7) days of the transaction, as described in the Credits and Refund Policy.
  • You agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting support@lamorevince.com to resolve the issue. We may suspend or terminate accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks and may recover associated costs.

6. Game Purchases

The Services offer premium ice breaker games that can be unlocked permanently for your account. Individual game unlocks and game packs (including the Vegas Pack) are digital goods delivered immediately and are therefore non-refundable once unlocked, except where required by applicable law. Unlocked games are non-transferable between accounts and remain available to your account subject to these Terms and continued operation of the relevant feature.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.
  • Use fake, altered, stolen, or another person's photographs or likeness.
  • Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, demean, or intimidate any person.
  • Solicit money, goods, services, donations, or commercial transactions from other users; engage in sex work or solicitation; or recruit users into schemes.
  • Engage in or promote any illegal activity, or facilitate activity that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or the United States.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with identity verification, the daily check-in, age gating, or any security or moderation feature.
  • Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or other automated means to access or interact with the Services.
  • Use the Services for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
  • Share, post, or distribute another person's private or identifying information without their consent.
  • Record, capture, or store another participant's audio, video, or images without the consent of all participants.
  • Post or transmit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually exploitative, or that infringes the rights of others.

Violations may result in content removal, suspension, permanent termination, and referral to law enforcement. Our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy provide further detail and are incorporated by reference.

8. Livestreaming

The Services may allow you to livestream a session to a third-party platform. If you use livestreaming:

  • All participants must consent to the stream before it begins. You must not stream any participant who has not consented.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you stream and for complying with the terms, policies, and laws applicable to any third-party platform you stream to. We are not liable for your violation of any third-party platform's terms.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your own streaming credentials (such as RTMP keys). Do not share them.
  • You must not stream illegal content, content involving minors, non-consensual content, or content that violates our Community Guidelines.
  • We may pause, terminate, or disable any stream that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or our guidelines, and may suspend accounts that misuse livestreaming.

9. Identity Verification and Daily Check-In

To support a community of real, present people, the Services use a daily check-in and identity verification. By using the Services, you consent to:

  • Camera capture of a live image at check-in and during verification steps.
  • Liveness verification (confirming a real, live person is present) and facial consistency analysis (confirming the person checking in is consistent with the account over time).

Verification data is used only for verification, safety, and fraud-prevention purposes and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Your check-in history may be visible to your matches as a trust signal (for example, that you checked in today). We may suspend or limit accounts that fail or refuse verification, or that we reasonably believe are operated fraudulently.

10. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you create and submit (your "User Content"). You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and adapt your User Content solely to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Services. This license ends when your User Content is deleted, except for content retained as required by law or held in routine backups for a limited period.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. The Services, including their software, design, text, and trademarks, are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Copyright / DMCA. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@lamorevince.com including: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder; and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices, may remove infringing content, and may terminate repeat infringers.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described there.

12. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third-party providers, including LiveKit (real-time audio and video), Twilio (communications and telephony), Amazon Web Services and Supabase (hosting and data infrastructure), Clerk (authentication), and Google (authentication and analytics), among others. We are not responsible or liable for third-party outages, errors, data practices, or acts or omissions. Your use of features powered by third parties may also be subject to their terms.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any matches, connections, results, or that other users are who they claim to be. You use the Services, and interact with other users, at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE COMPANY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of Section 17.

17. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

Informal resolution first. Before initiating arbitration, you agree to send a written notice of dispute to support@lamorevince.com describing the claim and the relief sought, and to allow thirty (30) days to resolve it informally. We will do the same for any claim we have against you.

Binding arbitration. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days, you and the Company agree to resolve it through final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, rather than in court, except as provided below. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve disputes about the interpretation, applicability, or enforceability of this section.

Class action waiver. You and the Company agree to bring claims against each other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Small claims carve-out. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies and remains in that forum.

If the class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be severed and proceed in court; the remainder will proceed in arbitration.

18. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms other users, the Company, or third parties. On termination:

  • Your right to access the Services ends immediately.
  • Unspent credits are forfeited and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 10, and 13–17) survive termination.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings or by contacting support@lamorevince.com. Deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least fourteen (14) days' notice through the Services or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services and may delete your account.
