L'Amore Vince Last updated: June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how L'Amore Vince, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("L'Amore Vince," the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit or use our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to all visitors and users of the Services worldwide and forms part of our Terms of Service.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Privacy contact: privacy@lamorevince.com

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

The Services are operated by L'Amore Vince, Inc., headquartered in the State of Delaware, United States. L'Amore Vince, Inc. is the controller responsible for personal information processed in connection with the Services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account data: name, date of birth, email address, phone number, password/authentication credentials (managed by our authentication provider), and Google account profile information when you sign in with Google.
  • Profile data: profile photos and album photos, bio, interests, gender, sexual orientation, who you are looking for, relationship style, contact preferences, and location (country, state, and city).
  • Personality Q&A answers: your responses to personality and compatibility questions.
  • Verification and check-in data: live camera captures taken at the daily check-in and during verification steps; liveness analysis results; facial consistency scores derived over time; phone verification records; and your check-in history and streaks.
  • Communications: Round 1 text messages, support requests, reports you submit, and survey responses. Live audio and video rounds are conducted in real time and are not recorded by us as a feature of the Services.
  • Payment data: transaction records (amounts, dates, items, credits purchased and spent). Card and bank credentials are collected and processed by our payment processors, not stored by us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, clicks, scroll depth, session duration, time on each onboarding step and personality question, game interactions, round and match activity (advancement decisions, timing, and frequency โ€” not the content of your live conversations), events attended, leaderboard activity, streaks, credits activity (earning, spending, balances), and album and connection activity.
  • Visitor and attribution data: for all visitors โ€” including before you create an account โ€” we set first-party cookies (lav_vid, a visitor identifier stored for 365 days, and lav_sid, a session identifier stored for the browser session) to recognize your browser across visits, measure how you arrived (including UTM parameters and referral source), track which pages you visit, and attribute an eventual signup to the visit that produced it.
  • Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity): we use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors and users interact with the Services, producing session replays and heatmaps. These recordings may capture your mouse movements, clicks, taps, scrolling, page navigation, and keystrokes typed into non-sensitive fields. Clarity is configured to mask designated sensitive inputs, but you should assume your on-screen interactions with the Services may be recorded and reviewed.
  • Device and technical data: IP address, approximate location inferred from IP (city/region โ€” not GPS), device and browser type, operating system, screen size, language, time zone, device identifiers and fingerprint signals (which we may store in hashed form), and crash and error data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: as described in Section 12 and in our Cookie Policy.

2.3 Information we infer

We may infer characteristics from the data above โ€” including matching-relevant traits derived from your personality answers and usage patterns, and probabilistic demographic estimates (such as cultural background and, for U.S.-located users only, a U.S. demographic category). Inferred demographic estimates are statistical estimates, not verified facts; are used only for matching quality and internal aggregate research; and are never displayed to you or to other users.

2.4 Information from other users and third parties

We receive information about you from other users (such as reports), from our service providers (such as fraud and verification signals), and from the platforms you choose to connect or share to.

3. Sensitive Information

Some information you provide โ€” including sexual orientation, gender identity, and relationship style โ€” is treated as sensitive under various laws. We collect this information only when you choose to provide it, with your consent, and we use it only to operate the platform's matching and profile features and for the safety purposes described in this Policy. By choosing to provide sensitive information, you consent to our processing of it as described in this Policy, including its display to other users where you place it on your profile. We do not use sensitive information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it.

4. Facial and Biometric Data

The daily check-in and identity verification involve a live camera capture, from which we derive liveness results (whether a real, live person is present) and facial consistency scores (whether the person checking in is consistent with the account over time). This data is used only for verification, anti-impersonation, safety, and fraud prevention. We do not sell facial or biometric data, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it to build general facial-recognition databases. Check-in images are retained on a 30-day rolling window; derived scores are retained for the life of your account.

If you are covered by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, the Washington My Health My Data Act, or the CCPA/CPRA, you have additional rights regarding biometric and sensitive information, including disclosure, deletion, and limits on use. We collect and process this data only with consent and only for the purposes above. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@lamorevince.com.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate the platform: create and maintain accounts; provide matching, rounds, connections, events, games, streaks, albums, leaderboards, and all other features; process credits and transactions; and provide support.
  • Matching: evaluate compatibility and recommend matches, events, and pairings, using profile data, Q&A answers, preferences, and usage patterns.
  • Safety and fraud prevention: verify identity and liveness; detect and prevent fake accounts, romance scams, ban evasion, payment fraud, and abuse; enforce our Terms, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy; and respond to reports.
  • Analytics and product development: understand how the Services are used (including through Clarity session recordings and Google Analytics), diagnose problems, run experiments, and develop and improve features.
  • AI model improvement: develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve the algorithms, machine-learning systems, and AI-powered features used in the Services, as further described in our Terms of Service.
  • Marketing: promote the Services, measure acquisition channels (including via UTM and referral attribution), and โ€” where permitted โ€” send you marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time.
  • Communications: send transactional messages such as match alerts, round notifications, credit-expiry reminders, event notices, and security alerts.
  • Legal compliance: comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may create and use anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified data โ€” data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, including data processed through machine learning โ€” for any purpose and without restriction.

6. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we process personal information on these bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the Services you request under our Terms of Service (accounts, matching, rounds, credits, transactions, support).
  • Consent: for sensitive data (such as sexual orientation), biometric verification data, analytics and session-recording cookies where consent is required, and marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our policies, analyze and improve the product, attribute marketing, and defend legal claims โ€” balanced in each case against your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law, including tax, accounting, and lawful-request obligations.
  • Vital interests and substantial public interest: to protect the safety of users and the public, including investigating serious harm and content involving minors.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Other users: your profile (photos, bio, gender, orientation where you display it, interests, Q&A answers you make visible, location at the granularity you set, check-in status and streaks) is visible to other users as part of the Services. Assume that anything you place on your profile or send to another user may be seen, copied, or shared by them โ€” we cannot control other users.
  • Service providers, who process data on our behalf under contractual protections: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and storage), Amazon Web Services (infrastructure and hosting), Anthropic (AI processing for AI-powered features), Microsoft (Clarity session recording and analytics), Google (Analytics/GA4 and sign-in), LiveKit (real-time audio/video), Twilio (telephony and verification), Resend, Postmark, and SendGrid (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), and Stripe (payment processing, if and when payments are offered).
  • Law enforcement and legal process: when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or the Company, to investigate fraud or violations of our policies, or to report suspected crimes โ€” including mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material to NCMEC.
  • Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of our assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset, subject to this Policy or notice of a successor policy.
  • Affiliates and successors: with corporate affiliates and successor entities, for the purposes described in this Policy.
  • With your direction: when you share to third-party platforms (social shares, livestreaming destinations), the data you send them is governed by their policies.

In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 from the sources described there, for the purposes in Section 5, and disclosed them to the service-provider categories in Section 7.
